Encoding software stands 192 kbps being CD quality as a reference standard for the average listener.
And actually it is enough for most commercial radio music, but it's insufficient in most cases for electronic music. That's why some people say that 320 is the only playable thing on big systems.
But it's pretty much up to the track. Some tracks seem to be get really degraded in terms of quality (most of these because of the complexity of the elements, or just for being badly/ackwardly produced), and some don't.
